Sibutramine belongs to a group of medicines known as anti-obesity drugs that can help you lose weight and maintain it.

It works by increasing the activity of two chemicals in the brain called noradrenaline and serotonin, promoting the feeling of having eaten enough (satiety) and reducing food intake, leading to gradual weight loss.

Sibutramine is used as part of a comprehensive weight management programme to treat:

- Patients with diet related obesity and a body mass index (BMI *) of 30 kg / m² or more;

- Patients with overweight and other obesity / overweight related risk factors such as diabetes or abnormal blood fat levels.

Sibutramine is a centrally acting stimulant and is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (77%), undergoes considerable metabolism which reduces its bioavailability.

Dosage: Take 1 tablet a day on an empty stomach.
